Photo and video capture for booth owners, venues, attractions, and events

Curator Live is a platform with apps that empowers photo booth owners, venues, attractions, and events to capture guest moments using photo booths, 360 booths, DSLR photo capture, and instant media delivery.

Six industries run on that same platform. What changes is the job the photo has to do: sell a ticket, fill a party package, prove a sponsorship, earn the next booking.

Each page below is written for one kind of operation: the hardware, how guests move through it, and what happens to the photo afterwards.

A Curator iPad photo booth set up at an event, ready for guests.

Photo Booth Owners

Your next booking is decided by the last event you ran. Curator runs on iPad with direct USB printing, so a booth fits in a car and sets up without a laptop or a print server. Overlays, sharing screens, and galleries carry your brand rather than ours.

A guest reacting to a scare, captured at a haunted attraction.

Haunted Houses

A haunt lives on throughput. Scare cam fires on a trigger at the moment of the scare, so nobody operates a camera and the queue never pauses. Guests see their own face mid-scream, buy it on the way out, and post it that night. Your season is a handful of weekends, so it has to work on night one.

Venues & FECs

Photo belongs inside the party package, not beside it. Curator runs unattended between bookings, so a birthday, a league night, and a lock-in get the same experience without staffing a booth for each. Every capture is branded to the venue and reaches the parent’s phone before they reach the parking lot, which is where your next booking starts.

Museums & Zoos

Dwell time is the number that matters. A capture point tied to an exhibit gives visitors a reason to stop, and green screen puts them inside the habitat or the story it is telling. It runs a whole season unattended, and every photo leaves with the institution’s branding on it.

Resorts & Cruises

Photography on a ship or a property is a revenue line, and it has to survive the conditions. Roaming DSLR capture, fixed points at the gangway or the pool, and delivery to a guest’s phone run through one platform. Connectivity at sea comes and goes, so capture and printing continue locally and delivery catches up when the signal does.

Live Events & Attractions

A sponsor is paying for reach they can point at. Branded overlays put that sponsor on every photo leaving the activation, and capture and share counts give you a figure to report back. Set-up is measured in minutes because the truck is already late, and one event can run 360 booths, DSLR, and roaming capture together.

What every industry gets

Every capture mode in one app

Photo booth, 360 booth, DSLR photo capture, video, GIF, boomerang, and green screen run from one app on one device. AI effects are a feature inside the platform, not the thing you are buying.

Instant media delivery

Guests get their photos by text, email, QR code, or AirDrop, plus an event gallery they can come back to. Delivery happens at the booth, while the guest is still standing in your venue.

Direct USB printing

An iPad prints straight to DNP and Citizen dye-sublimation printers over USB. Direct USB printing takes the laptop and the print server out of the setup.

Your brand, not ours

Overlays, start screens, sharing screens, galleries, and delivery emails carry your logo and your colors, or those of your sponsor.

Photo Match

Photo Match lets a guest pull their own pictures out of a gallery of strangers instead of scrolling all of it. The guest asks for their own photos, and reaches a gallery with nothing in it but their own.

Event data and remote control

Capture counts, sharing rates, guest opt-ins, and device status sit in one dashboard. Manage devices and events remotely, whether that is two booths on a Saturday or a fleet across a property.

And the gallery can take money. Guests can buy their own photos from it, paying at the kiosk before the session or afterwards to lift a sales watermark, with the takings arriving in a Stripe account you connect and own. How guest photo sales works.

Someone is awake while your event runs

Online chat is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including the Saturday night a printer jams. Chat stays open while your event runs.

Questions

Common questions

What is Curator Live?

Curator Live is a platform with apps that empowers photo booth owners, venues, attractions, and events to capture guest moments using photo booths, 360 booths, DSLR photo capture, and instant media delivery. It has been operating since December 2015 and has run events across 96 countries, with support staffed around the clock.

What happens if the internet goes down mid-event?

The event keeps running. Photos capture to a local queue, printing continues, and the booth behaves exactly as it does online. Text and email delivery pause and send automatically once the connection returns.

How many devices does one licence cover?

One licence covers one device.

Can I print photos without a laptop or a print server?

Yes. Curator supports direct USB printing from an iPad to DNP and Citizen dye-sublimation printers, which takes the laptop and the print server out of the setup entirely.

How do guests get their photos?

By text, email, QR code, or AirDrop, and into an event gallery they can return to later. Delivery happens at the booth, while the guest is still at your event.

Can I put my own branding on it instead of yours?

Yes. Overlays, start screens, sharing screens, galleries, and delivery emails carry your logo and your colors, or those of your sponsor.
